ok, i know this entry is like super duper overdued lah but i guess its better to be out then not out at all.. hahahaha, no pun intended.anyways, this year chinese new year was ok.. i just remember that there was alot of eating involved. not much red packets too, must be the recession… ……………oh, just so, its a another damn photo intense entry, cause some of you complained that i am not putting in enough photos… so.. ambik ko!…..the first shabangs was at my close fren house where we had a steamboat.. just wondering, why every chinese new year always involved steamboat one? is it a culture here? i mean, i dont see it as a traditional dish or anything, like hari raya where all the malays will eat traditional food like rendang, sambal goreng… and so on… but the chinese always do steamboat….i get the interactivenes of this, but i still prefer proper sit down meal, cooked by someone where is does not involved around too much heat, sweat and smell…..so, steamboat photos ya’ll.. oh yeah, i prepare the broth for this one lor. simple. buy an instant tomyum spice and just dump all in a big pot of boiling water.. hahahahaha……….
oh, and before we proceed to tuck in the steamboating, we do a tossing thingy.. i forgot whats the name… its entire vegetarian unless u decide to put in salmon slices in it or something.. and i absolutely love this thing!!!!…..
tossing ya’ll!!!!! and u are suppose to say what u want to have for the year, like good health, more money.. etc etc etc…. and apperantly, only singapore does this tossing thingy!! coolness. our own culture!!!!………..so, that was like the day before Chinese New Year.on the actual day itself, i had a family shabang…one of my relative decide to have a chalet in Godzone land of Pasir Ris… damn far can? from CCK??????????? thank god for vehicles and lorry and car and what sort.. if not we will never make it there!!!
ah, i am not going to put any caption.. ok maybe a little bit. but i let the photo speak for himself. i am just too tired to type. just came back from gym and i just tortured my arms and shoulders.. sigh… no pain no gain!!!!!!
yes, that is the amount of things we brought for a 2 nights afffair…like food for 1 week worth, our own bedding, pots and pans, and what nots… really, a truely typical malay family!!!
and oh, my cousins and aunt from Malacca came too!!!!!! she is the center one!!!!oh, and mind you, these 14 year old girls, have rebonded hair! REBONDED hair just because they are too lazy to style their hair every morning and rebonded hair just falls in place..sheeeesh!!!!!!!!
all happy happy faces!!!!!!!of courselah! i pay what!! ………and coincidently, its my cousins from Malacca’s birthday month too!so, me, being all time generous, bought a cheesecake for her!wah lau. my karma better runs up after this lor. me so generous and kind and all that!!!……………….oh, i even decorate the cake. like some betty crocker in the middle of Pasir Ris…
but i guess its all worth it!!!!!
just when you realised the photos are done!!!
